Description:  We will begin by creating stamps and sprigs for use on slab-built forms.  Simple plaster forms will be used to create bowls and trays, textured with our own hand-made stamps.  We will also create cylindrical forms including cups, bottles and fun flasks.  Students will have the opportunity to create a pinch-pot sculptural sphere/rattle and possibly a coil-built pot, depending on timing.  All objects created can be decorated using carving, sgraffito and slip inlay techniques that will be taught during the session. Glazing and firing information will also be discussed.  Work will be fired for functional use if desired. We will also have a potluck kiln-opening party at the end of the session  - friends and family welcome!
